  1. Am Lit Week 6 First Unit Test: Early American Lit Tab

  2. Am Lit Do Now • On your desk, have your binder, any work/notes over Anne Bradstreet. • We will be taking a clicker pop quiz today. Be ready.

  3. Am Lit Success Today Means • Students will record what their binders are missing so far, and will begin to make up those notes (to study for test Thursday). • Students will make their own study sheet today with the authors, bold terms and other items they think will be on the exam Thursday.

  4. Week 6 Agenda • Tuesday: look at old tests, take notes on the questions you got wrong. Continue to develop study guide. • Wednesday Review Game • Thursday Test • Friday: start next unit= Persuasion

  5. Am Lit DO NOW 9/9/14 • When is our unit test of Early American Lit? • What other major grades do I have for you this year?

  6. Am Lit DO NOW9/10/14 • Copy down this useful info: • Test format: multiple choice/matching/ True or False • Two parts • First part vocab and key terms 23 questions. No notes • Second part: stories and authors: 40?s

  7. Success Today Means • Students hear as many test questions as possible. Students self-assess to determine what still needs to be studied tonight. • This game is not fair. I know that. I am telling you it is not fair. When you say, “That’s not fair!” I will agree with you. Remember what real winning means today.

  8. Am Lit DO NOW 9/11/14 • Have your organized binder under your desk. Have your study guide out on your desk and a blank sheet of loose leaf. • Today we’ll take the authors/story part of the test. If you wish to use notes, I will allow you to for five minutes.

  9. Test Taking Procedure • Record your answers on sheet of loose leaf. When done, enter answers in your clicker. “Finish”= CANNOT CHANGE ANSWERS. • If you want to use notes, you must wait until end of class. • If you turn in your test, you cannot get it back. • If you take out other work while waiting for the notes allowed time, you’re test will be taken from you. You may put your head down to wait. • Once done, work on something quietly until bell.

Am Lit Classwork Thurs/Friday • Work on this after you finish your assessment, if it is not done by Friday, finish it for homework by Mon. • Binderwork: add notes about Jonathan Edwards pg. 122 • Take notes over important terms/ideas pg. 123 • Define: abhor, abominable, appease, ascribe, deliverance, discern, incense, induce, mitigation, whet.

  11. Am Lit DO NOW 9/12/14 • Turn in any Do Nows you may have to the US Mail Box. • Have a sheet of loose leaf out for today. • After you finish quizzing today, work on the classwork assignment. If you do not finish it, complete it for homework.

  12.
