  2. Date of Birth • Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15th, 1929 Martin Luther King Jr.’s real name is Michael King Jr.

  3. Early Years • Did you know that in 1944 Martin Luther King Jr. graduated High School when he was 15? • He also graduated Collage when he was 18 in 1947.

  4. Life Story's • Martin Luther King Jr.s Mom was a teacher his Father was a minister. • In 1941 Martin Luther King Jr.’s Grandma died from a heart attack. 

  5. Special Dates • In 1953 Martin Luther King Jr. married Coretta Scott. • In 1954 Martin Luther King Jr. became a pastor for Dexter Avenue Baptist Church.

  6. Boycott • In 1956 he successfully led a boycott for busses that means when people stop riding busses for a purpose. • Dr. King and his group took a lot to let black people ride in the front of the bus.

  7. MAN OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!! • In 1963 Martin Luther King Jr. was crowned “Man of the Year.” 

  8. Arrested • Martin Luther King Jr. got arrested on February 1956.

  9. Achievements • In 1957 Martin Luther King Jr. helped establish the Southern Christian to leadership conference.

  10. 1958 • In 1958 the supreme court upheld the desegregation of busses.
