Global OER Graduate Network: Goals • Substantially exploreand expand the OER research base • Achieve this mainly through good quality PhD trajectories • Locate these PhD trajectories among universities in a variety of societies in different continents (global balance) • Connectthe research projects and researchers through a global learning network • Provide free and easy accessto the generated knowledge through papers, conference presentations, dissertations, as well as reports and publications for non-specialists GO-GN Seminar, Cape Town

Global OER Graduate Network: Characteristics • Umbrella for PhD research on OER in a global network of universities / researchers (decentralized model) • Addressing fundaments, design, applications, context, evaluation, etcetera, linked to a wide range of disciplines • Keyare the PhD candidates, both full-time and part-time • Joint supervision by 3 experts / (co-)promoters • Relyon QA system of the promoter’s university & country • Knowledge dissemination with the GradNetwork label • Benefits: shared online facilities, course catalog, scientific discourse, annual seminars (@ OCWC; OpenEd?), … GO-GN Seminar, Cape Town
