This research explores the synthesis of palladium (Pd) nanoparticles for impregnation on zinc oxide (ZnO) supports to develop effective Pd/ZnO catalysts for methanol steam reforming. It examines the stability of PdZn monolayers and intermetallic phases through computational studies. The project involves analyzing the correlation between specific sites of metallic composition and catalytic activity. In addition, it includes educational outreach efforts, such as participation in planning workshops and summer schools aimed at high school students.
