Romans 13:13-14 (NKJV) 13 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. Breaking Free From Satan’s Stronghold Occupation 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. • A new man was created in baptism – Rom 6:3,4; Gal 3:27 • Leave no place or vacancy for the devil – (no pocket of rebellion, corruption, or immorality where Satan can rebuild his influence) - 4:27; Mat 12:43-45 • We must put off the old man and put on the new man – Col. 3:10-17 W. 65th St church of Christ - 11/9/2008

Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV) 31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Breaking Free From Satan’s Stronghold Fortification 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. • Imitate God as dear children – 5:1; 1 Pet 1:13-16 • Walk in love – 5:2; 1 Cor 16:14 • Walk as children of light – 5:8; 1 John 1:5-7; 2 Pet 1:5-10 • Walk circumspectly – 5:15; Col. 3:17; 4:5; • Accept God’s appointed stations in life – 5:22-6:9; Col. 3:18-4:1 • By putting on the whole armor of God – Eph 6:10-18 W. 65th St church of Christ - 11/9/2008

Breaking Free From Satan’s Stronghold • Appeal To Truth – “The truth will make you free” • Displacement – Kick Satan out of your life - • Resistance – Renew your mind – get thinking right. • Occupation – Put on the new man with his deeds. • Fortification– Add the things to your life God provides to make you strong.
