COURSEFACILITATORS Muhamad Hazlalin He has 12 years working experience in the field of design, procurement and installation of offshore and onshore oil and gas pipelines in Malaysia, Sudan, Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei and Abu Dhabi. He has worked for various design consultants, offshore installation contractors and even operator i.e ExxonMobil.Key design experience includes participation in basic, conceptual and detailed pipeline design projects for both onshore and offshore pipelines.Experience in integrity assessment of pipelines were obtained during involvement in EMEPMI’s low, medium and high risk studies on all existing EMEPMI pipelines and risers offshore Terengganu. Also involved in the procurement of line pipes, bends, flanges, pipeline and pipe fittings for EMEPMI offshore pipeline project. Offshore experience includes installation of pipelines and risers for PCSB’s Dulang and ANGSI Field Development Project on board Laybarges D B26 a and Kuroshio 1. Also involved in pipeline route survey on board TLGH & Racal Survey Vessel for Petronas and EMEPMI projects. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nordin Yahaya Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nordin Yahaya is currently the Marketing + International Student Manager, School of Postgraduate Studies, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Dr. Nordin graduated with BE (Hons) in Civil Engineering from Salford University (1988), MSc. In Offshore Engineering from Cranfield University (1992) and PhD in Civil and Offshore Engineering from Heriot – Watt University, United Kingdom (1999). In 2000, he was awarded Young Graduates and Scientists Award by Volkswagen Foundation, Germany. He is currently doing his research on Pipeline Assessment and Structural Reliability sponsored by UTM and Federal Government Grants.
