A few tips! • To right-click, tap the touchpad with two fingers. • To scroll down and up, slide on the trackpad with two fingers. • To enable caps lock, press Alt+Search. • To know what keyboard shortcuts are available, do Ctrl+Alt+? • Drag a window to the left or right of the screen to snap it to that side (helpful when you want to see two things side by side). • Press Ctrl+WindowSwitchButton to take a screenshot. You can then open it to edit it.

No Wifi...No Problem You can always do your homework Even if you do not have internet at home you will still be able to work on assignments: Open Drive App from your App Shelf Click setting gear in upper right corner Check box next to “offline” **This must be done while connected at school** Video of directions!

  9. No Wifi...Slight Problem You can not access Google Classroom without Wifi… But… You can access your ‘Classroom Folder’ in your Drive.

  11. Calendar This is an opportunity for you to experiment with the organization that is best for you. Here is a video with more explanation

  12. Mobile & Sharing Calendar There are multiple ways to view your calendar and share with parents. To view calendar on Mobile download the Google Calendar App. If you already have a calendar or your parents want to see your calendar just share it with the steps below.

  13. 3 PERSONALIZING YOUR DEVICE Customizing your experience Your Chromebook comes with a ‘shell’ (hard snap on case). This case can not be removed or your warranty will be voided!!!! NO STICKERS!!!!!! There will be opportunity to purchase soft carrying cases through the school.

  14. changing your Wallpaper Profile Picture • “Right click” on a Chromebook is tapping with 2 fingers. • Right click on the desktop. Shelf Position or Wallpaper • Click to change background. • Upload from Drive or use one of Google’s • Click on the icon at the bottom right corner. • Click on Settings. • Scroll to the bottom. • Click on the icon to change your picture. • Upload from Drive or take a photo • Profile pictures can not be a person other than you. Using someone else's image is not good digital citizenship & is identity theft.

  17. FYI: Since every student now has their own device, there is no educational need for mobile devices. Cell phones must remain in your locker. Any phone seen by a staff member after morning homeroom and before the end of day bell will/must be confiscated and sent to the office. STAY INSIDE OF YOUR LOCKER

  18. When you bring your Chromebook home: • You can easily connect to your own home Wifi. Click the Wifi button at the bottom right. • Hook up your printer using Cloud Printing. Check out directions under the green “Get Help” app under your launcher. • No Wifi? Work on documents offline by saving them temporarily to your “My Files” or make your Drive available offline. Find directions under “Get Help” app.
