  3. Family Facts • Jackie married her controversial coach , Bob Kersee • Al Joyner her brother is also an Olympic gold medalist • Jackie retired from track in 2001 at age 38 • Jackie started a youth center foundation to encourage her kids and other kids to play sports

  4. Educational Background • Jackie did track and field at UCLA • Her first sport was basketball • She was an U.S. Athlete • Jackie kept her grades up so she could be a high school athlete
