KálmánKittenberger • Hewasborn in Levice on 10th October 1881. • Hestudied in PedagogicalAcademyin Levice. • Hepreparedhimself to collections and preparations. • Hewas a big hunter. • He made six travels to Africa, the first time in 1902, where he was sent by the Hungarian Royal Society in Budapest. • He spent there ten and a half years. • During his journeys he faced financial difficulties as he received no sponsorship, but he was still able to grant 60,000 items to the biological collections of the Hungarian National Museum, including 300 new animal species. • Part of that collection was annihilated by a fire in 1956. • Hedied in Hungary on 4th January 1958.

  6. Štefan Dobó Hewasborn in 1502. Hewas a Hungarian soldier, best known as the successful defender of Eger against the Ottomans in 1552. Hewas a member of the Hungarian land-owning nobility, with holdings in northern Hungary. In the dynastic succession struggles after the Battle of Mohács in 1526, he was consistently on the side of the Habsburg King Ferdinand I. Hewas giventhe ownership of the castle of Levice. Hedied in 1572.

MatúšCsákTrenčiansky was a Hungarian oligarch in the Kingdom of Hungary who ruled independently the north-western counties of the kingdom (today roughly the western half of present-day Slovakia and parts of Northern Hungary). In the 19th century, he was often described as a symbol of the struggle for independence in both the Hungarian and Slovak literatures. Hedied on 18th March 1321.
