Weekly RCF Status Report: Smooth Operations and Increased Data Transfer

Over the past week, RCF operations have continued smoothly with no reportable incidents in the Mass Storage System (HPSS), Tape Libraries, or Network. Data from PHENIX and STAR Counting Houses has been safely migrated to Tape with observed increases in aggregate data rates. Since the beginning of Run12, PHENIX and STAR have accumulated around 2080 TB of RAW data, with 400 TB collected in the last 7 days, a notable rise from 220 TB in the previous week. The data transfer rates on the link between PHENIX and STAR have shown consistent performance.

RCF Status • Smooth operation over the course of last week • No reportable incidents of the Mass Storage System (HPSS), the Tape Libraries and the Network • Data received from PHENIX & STAR Counting Houses was safely migrated to Tape • Observed further increased aggregate data rates from the Counting Houses to RCF • PHENIX & STAR have accumulated ~2080 TB of RAW data since the start of Run12 (400 TB in the last 7 days, up from 220 TB in previous week)
