  3. Fee Waivers Fee Waivers available in Rm. 7E2- during lunch periods ONLY! Students who are Free or Reduced Lunch Eligible may receive the following Fee Waivers: Exams: SAT I & II ACT   College Applications: 4 College Board Fee Waivers 10 NACAC Fee Waiver CUNY- Must apply FIRST!- We receive a very minimum amount of CUNY Fee Waivers- First come- First served!

Fee Waivers Continued… Regarding SUNY Applications/Fee Waiver - Students should ONLY apply to SUNY via the Common Application. - You will receive NACAC Fee Waivers for these schools - College Board Fee Waivers CANNOT be used for SUNY via the Common Application • Students may only apply to SUNY schools through www.suny.edu if the school that they are applying to is NOT on the Common Application. • The ONLY Exception to this is students applying to SUNY EOP Program. In this case, you must use www.suny.edyu to apply!

  6. Complete your common application at www.commonapp.org You can save your application until it is ready to be sent. Recommended to complete two personal essays that are on the common application. Some schools require an additional essay. SCHOOLS NOT LISTED ON COMMON APPLICATION Go to the schools website and download the application and complete Common Applicationwww.commonapp.org

  7. Applying to CUNY/SUNY Must apply to CUNY at www.cuny.edu- Deadline: Feb 1st You may apply to six (6) CUNY colleges. Macaulay Honors College: www.macaulay.cuny.edu. You may apply six colleges. These schools must be listed in preference order. When you apply to Macaulay Honors, you cannot apply regular admission to CUNY. Deadline: Dec. 1st Must apply to SUNY via the Common Application

College Office Application Deadlines Information regarding which school you are applying to must be entered into your Naviance account and Transcript Request Forms must be submitted to the College Office by : Early Action/Early Decision & College with Deadlines Earlier than December 1st (Including Macaulay Honors): Thursday, October 6th CUNY Applications: Thursday, November 17th SUNY Applications: Thursday, November 17th College with Deadlines of December 15th or later: Thursday, November 17th PLEASE BE AWARE: After the above deadline dates have passed, the Naviance System will be TURNED OFF and students will no longer be able to add colleges on to the system.

  9. Transcript Request Forms These forms are available in the College Office and on-line at www.bths.edu under “College Office” & “Forms”. There are 3 different types of Transcript Request Forms: You MUST fill out the appropriate form and include ALL school in which you are applying… EA/ED & All Schools w/ Deadline of Dec 1 or earlier Schools w/ Deadline of December 15th or Later CUNY/SUNY Schools

  10. What role does Naviance play in your application Process? It allows the College Office and Your Guidance Counselor to know where you are applying so that we can send out your TRANSCRIPT, COUNSELOR LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION and SECONDARY SCHOOL REPORT to each of those schools on time! It is a paperless process and saves you time and money on postage! It is simple and easy and your college application is NOT COMPLETE until you follow the steps outlined in the “Application Instructions” for Naviance. About Naviance

  12. Teacher Recommendation Letters How many Teacher Recs do I need? Who should I ask? What should I provide my Teacher with to help them write the best possible letter about me!? How do these get sent to colleges?
