  3. The Presentation You Deliver: Slides Verbal Design • Keep your text to a minimum • Use key phrases only • Include 4-5 points per slide • Use max. 6 words in a line • Be consistent with Grammar you use

  4. The Presentation You Deliver: Slides Visual Design • Use same style titles, fonts, backgrounds • Use colour to emphasize • Make sure your text is legible • Use animation sparingly and consistently • Use pictures to enhance your message

Slides As Handouts • Add detailed notes to slides • Notes should be complete sentences, not just bullets or key words • Make your handout stand-alone • It should make sense to the people who were not at your presentation • Provide white space • Some people like to take notes during a presentation

  7. Slides To Email • Include text, not key words and phrases • The slide is intended to be read, not presented • Make your slideshow stand-alone • The message and take-away should be clear to people who read from the slides • Remember that images, videos etc make emailing your slideshow clumsy
