  2. FIDUCIAL SCHEME FOR VVSA Major tool has offered the following fiducial scheme. Doug McCorkle said that a verbal description is sufficient unless accurate locations are required. I have included the following slides from Mike Cole marked with to depict the locations: 1/4" holes spot faced and precision reamed in the side edge of the flanges as follows: • 1) 6 each on the outside and 6 on the inside of the left and right vessel end flanges. • 2) 4 each on the outside and 4 on the inside of the upper and lower “chimney” port 12 flange. • 3) 4 each on the outside and 4 on the inside of the NB flange. • 4) 4 on the outside perimeter of each of the remaining port flanges. • Cross pattern on the round flanges and midway on the straight edges of port 4. • 5) Include coordinates mapped with a standard 1/2" shouldered tooling ball as part of the final package.

  3. 6 each on the outside and 6 on the inside of the VVSA end flanges. • Place holes on top and bottom and also two at roughly 45° on the outer curve and inboard curve avoiding the bolt holes and any other existing features.

  4. 4 each on the outside and 4 on the inside of the upper and lower “chimney” port 12 flanges • Place the holes on straight edges of flange ~1-2” from the radius and avoiding the bolt holes and any other existing features.

  5. 4 each on the outside and 4 on the inside of the NB flange. • Place holes midway on straight edges of flange and avoiding the bolt holes and any other existing features.
