  2. 5 Facts • The Tax Box is a little black box that goes into your car to track your mileage. • The government might also be able to track you wherever you are because they might put GPS into the box • This will be happening in California first but it will probably go to all of the other countries in the US. • This little black box will be put neatly by the dashboard of your car. • After they get the information on how many miles you drive then they will send you a tax bill.

  3. 5 More Facts • The American Civil Liberties Union is very concerned about the tax box • People will get paid per mile they drive • A lot of people have already taken these black boxes for test drives to see how they work • There is a way to not use the tax box and that is to raise the gas tax • When people get gas the pump will talk to the tax box and automatically add the mileage tax to your gas bil.

  4. Where does the money go for this tax, or where should the money go for this tax? • I think that this tax should go to making roads better and making bigger roads.

  5. How is this taxation with or without representation? • The state legislator will be voting on this soon.

  6. Why should this be or not be a tax on the people? • I don’t think that this should be taxed on people because it would be kind of creepy and invading our privacy because they can know where we are all of the time.

  7. How do you think the founding fathers would view this tax on the American people? • I think that the founding fathers probably wouldn’t really like this tax box thing because it is basically invading peoples privacy.
