  8. Habitat Resource Centers (HRC) • The delivery mechanism for Habitat’s response • Provide services to families while strengthening the local economy: • Technical assistance • Materials • Construction • Vocational trade skills • Disaster resilience training

Housing Solutions Recyclable Transitional Shelter • 18 square meters covered • Designed for average size Haitian family of five • Wood-frame structure with diagonal crossbeams, metal strapping • Concrete post foundation • Made with materials that can be reused in a permanent house PARTNERSHIPS – AN INTEGRAL PART OF EACH PROCESS

Housing Solutions Upgradable Transitional Shelter • 18 square meters covered • Designed for average size Haitian family of five • Steel-frame or wood-frame structure with diagonal crossbeams and metal strapping • Built on a permanent foundation • Can be upgraded with durable walls to be a permanent home PARTNERSHIPS – AN INTEGRAL PART OF EACH PROCESS
