Spiritual Heart Attacks • Psalm 25:17 • The troubles of my heart have multiplied; free me from my anguish. • Psalm 40:12 • For troubles without number surround me; my sins have overtaken me, and I cannot see. They are more than the hairs of my head, and my heart fails within me. • Mark 7:20-23 • He went on: ‘‘what comes out of a man is what makes him ‘unclean.’ For from within, out of men’s hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from inside and make a man ‘unclean.’” • Proverbs 4:23 • Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.

The LORD looked and was displeased that there was no justice. He saw that there was no one; he was appalled that there was no one to intervene; so his own arm worked salvation for him, and his own righteousness sustained him.
