  2. THE DISCRIPTION OF A HEART ATTACK Also known as acute myocardial infarction, heart attack is the leading cause of fatality worldwide. An average of 1.2 million Americans suffer from a heart attack annually and 40% of these people die. This affect up is characterized by an interruption of the blood flow to a fastidious region in the heart. The interruption results to oxygen shortage which causes heart tissue destruction and tissue fatality.

  4. Symptoms of heart attacks During a heart attack, some people feel extreme pain while other people feel no symptoms at all. Arm pain, jaw pain, neck pain, and chest pain are all common

  5. Treatment for heart attacks A variety of heart attack treatments are available to help you in the event of a heart attack. If your blood work shows evidence of an attack or you show abnormal EKG characteristics, treatment should begin immediately. Recovery from a heart attack depends greatly on not only the severity of your heart attack but also how quickly it was treated and stopped, preventing further damage to the heart muscle. If the attack was stopped very quickly, there may be no damage at all.

  6. How to prevent a heart attack Following a healthy diet is an important part of a heart healthy lifestyle. A healthy diet includes a variety of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. It also includes lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, and fat-free or low-fat milk or milk products. A healthy diet is low in saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol, sodium (salt), and added sugars.
