  1. What is RecycleMania? • An eight-week recycling competitionbetween national universities and colleges! #UBRecycleMania14’

  2. When is it? • RecycleMania is held for eight weeks every Spring Semester. The competition officially starts onFebruary 3rd, 2014and ends on March 29th, 2014. #UBRecycleMania14’

  3. How is UB going to win? I recycle, do you? Caught Green Handed Caught Green Handed Campaign Promote Single Stream Recycling Student involvement in advertising and promoting competition Encourage People to Recycle! #UBRecycleMania14’

  4. What can you do to help? • Make sure you’re recycling! • Place work orders if additional bins are needed in your hall or apartment • Recycle at special events, meetings, or when you are just on campus • Contact Office of Sustainability for opportunities to volunteer at (716)-829-3535 or ubgreen@buffalo.edu #UBRecycleMania14’

  7. How does the competition work? Students recycle and advocate recycling on campus At the end of 8 weeks, schools are ranked based on amount of material recycled Weekly standings are posted on RecycleMania webpage every Friday #UBRecycleMania14’

  8. UB created 3002.99 tons of waste in 2012… Lets reduce that number through the RecycleMania Competition!
