  1. Industrial Practices That Harm the Environment When the industries dig for oil underneath the ocean floor, it sometimes spills. This cause all the marine animals and birds to get covered in oil, helpless. Another example of industrial practices is when the factories release their chemicals in the soil of agriculture plants. Then the plants get poisoned allowing the creatures who eat the plants get poisoned.

  2. The Government • Federal Government Acts and Regulations: • Canadian Environmental Acts and regulations • Import and export of hazardous waste regulations • Ozone depleting substances regulations • List of hazardous waste authorities • Nuclear Safety and Control Acts: • General nuclear safety and control regulations • Nuclear substances and radiation devices regulations

  3. The Media • These issues are widely discussed in the media. Now that the media is discussing these issues, the people have an idea of what is going on with the industries. • Now the percentage of people who care for the environment has increased from 27% to 50% all thanks to the media.

  4. Organizations and Companies • There are many organizations and companies that help clean the environment. However, most of those organizations are NGO’s (Non-government organizations) Some of them are: • Go Green • Save the Arctic • Green Peace • World Wild Life Fund

  5. Article on Industrial Practices (Natural News) It's true the almost five million barrels of oil that contaminated the Gulf of Mexico during the 2010 an experimental chemical dump by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and corporate giant BP? Turns out, according to new research from the Georgia Institute of Technology and Universidad Autonoma de Aguascalientes (UAA) in Mexico, the two million gallons of the dispersant Corexit which the EPA dictated had to be used to supposedly clean up the oil spill made the situation worse -- far worse. In fact, the chemicals turned the situation into nothing less than a 52 times more toxic

  6. What We Think the Government Should Do We think that the government should take a huge leap forward and create more organizations, companies, campaigns, instead of making laws. Or if you want to make laws, the government has to enforce those laws properly so every single industry understands what to do.
