However it did, and does, work some of the time and so is a valid way to watch iPlayer abroad if your demands are very low. • This did however plant the seed of using a Proxy service to watch iPlayer abroad, so we investigated various anonymous proxy packages which operate on paid for high speed proxies. • After trialing a few accounts we found watching tv abroad to work very well, especially as it offered VPN and Proxy services for the same low price as other packages which only offered proxy services. • The software allowed us to watch iPlayer abroad either in real time using the live feed or, by use of the VPN option, to download the programs to view at later date. Despite all the changes that have happened to iPlayer over the years since it launch the use of a private high speed proxy still works and is still the best way to watch iPlayer abroad
