  2. Summary Of Book • The Frog Scientist tells the amazing true story about how Mr. Tyrone Haynes finds out about water pollution and struggles to find a way to stop Atrazine from contaminating the water habitat . Frogs are struggling against many global problems such as : introduced species.

  3. Pesticides may harm the environment . • A leopard frog had an extra leg growing out of his chin because of pesticides! • A lot of male frogs are feminized thanks to pesticide use. • The water cycle carries the pesticides and it affects the environment by contaminating it and it affects our drinking water!

  4. Changes are everywhere in the world. • In protected areas frogs are disappearing and this did not used to happen. • When Tyrone came to Harvard he came from a black community and he felt out of place because of the change of faces. • Pesticides change the way plants grow in a good way and it affects the environment in a bad way.

  5. Circumstances may start out negative but may turn positive in your favor ,if you try! • Young had several problems in college and then she met Tyrone. After that she worked in Tyrone’s lab to learn how pesticides affect frogs. • Tyrone also had trouble in college . He was about to drop out of college when one of his professors saved him. • Once Tyrone got his grades up then he graduated and then he went to California for graduate school .

  6. Are frogs cannibals? • When frogs are tadpoles they may even feed on their siblings!

  7. What Can You Do? • You can organize a Big Sweep at your local pond or lake. • You should use organic foods and products to stop using pesticides. • Why do frogs die in your community? This is a question that we all should answer.

  8. The Final Point Pesticides can change the environment .Though we can stop using pesticides and use organic products.
