  1. Araceli and Rolando’s Story • Soul mates • Childhood • Teenagers • College life • Life Together • The Engagement

  2. Soul MatesOctober 11, 1979 Rolando, 9:50 a.m. Not only were Rolando and I born on the same day and on the same year, but we are only 40 minutes apart in age. We have concluded that God enlightened both of us with life at the same time for a reason….. Araceli, 10:30 a.m.

  3. Childhood Interests At 3 years old, I enjoyed playing with my Cabbage Patch Kids and play cash register while Rolo enjoyed playing with play guns and soccer.

  4. High school(At age 18, we still didn’t know each other) Interests: Drama, Student Council President, Class Vice-President, UIL, and Shopping Interests: Soccer, Football, Alter boy and Hunting

  5. College Life(Where we met) Rolo and I met in College Station, Texas. He attended Texas A&M University, and I attended the rival school, The Univeristy of Texas at Austin. The funny thing is that I wanted to attend A&M, but I received a scholarship to attend UT. It was really meant to be, though, because I went to visit a friend at A&M one weekend, and that is where I met the love of my life. We dated, but were never officially a couple. Distance was a huge barrier for us.

  6. Life after College After college, Rolo and I both looked for jobs in San Antonio. My brother was living there at the time and all of his family already lived there too. A year after college, we FINALLY became an official couple. I started working as a software trainer and Rolo started working at Big Brother Big Sister as a case manager.

  7. The Engagement(December 22, 2003) After three years of unofficial dating and two years of being an official couple, Rolo popped the question! During lunch one day, he asked me to go get my ring size. I was pretty excited as I kind of knew where that was heading. Today, it is four months till our wedding and we are still enjoying our engagement as if it just happened yesterday. We are looking forward to the big day, but most of all, we are looking forward to starting a new life as a married couple.
