MY BUSINESS IDEA • I plan to open a bulk food and complementary item store • It will allow people to purchase non-perishable foods in a bulk form that are not pre-packaged • From cereal and flour to pet food to laundry detergent • People will be able to choose how much of one product they want • Will be able to carry unique items like gluten-free flours and health food items

  4. BUSINESS IDEA: INITIAL START UP • Find those who would be willing to invest in this unique idea • Find a location that would be easily accessible to my clientele • Marketing research • Find suppliers

  5. BUSINESS IDEA: 5 - 10YEAR PLAN • Bring in local celebrities to offer cooking classes to those interested. • Expand into health food items • Give back to the community • Such as donating food and other resources like time and money • Expand into ethnic foods • Set up a dry pack station

HOW DO I GET THERE? • Work with business professionals to find out how to start/build a business from the ground up. • Work on developing a business plan. • Find appropriate funding and financial guidance. • Build relationships with the City to ensure this establishment will be a contributing part of our community.

HOW WILL THIS BENEFIT STURGIS? • Provides a unique service to our community • Offers customers the ability to buy the foods and other items they need in the quantities they want, without having to drive to other cities • It will create jobs • Manager, cashiers, purchasing agent, etc. • Can easily diversify into other areas of bulk food storage
