  4. Basics • Prerequisites: Take ALL prerequisites for LETTER grades. • Breadth: at least 7/9 breadth classes (for those applying Fall 2008) • Language: foreign language requirement • Unit: Completion of at least 60 semester units (upon entering Haas)

  5. Admissions Breakdown Everybody has this (Hopefully) • 50% Grades and Coursework • 15% Extra-Curricular activities Let us focus on this • 35% Essays

  6. Personal Statement • Make it personal • Spend time • Communication and analytical skills • Business writing • Why Haas? Make it as part of your long term plan • How going to HAAS will change your life • Differentiate yourself

  7. Show that • Have overcome significant challenges • Are more than a dork, extracurricular, work experience • Be specific • No Repetition • No Nerds • Revise, revise, revise.
