Tell Your Parents When… Tell them right away when… • I come across information that makes me uncomfortable. • Someone you don’t know wants to “follow” you or talk to you. • Before downloading software or content that will hurt our computer or invades my family privacy. • Someone wants to meet up with you that you don’t know.

  4. Type Nice! • Ignore mean comments that make you uncomfortable. • Don’t post or write anything that might hurt other people’s feelings. • If it’s a joke to you, think about everyone who will see it.

  5. Have Fun! I will help my parents… • Understand how to have fun online. • Understand how to use new tools and games online. • Teach them to use the Internet.
