  1. ISO Audit Overview Feb 5-7, 2014

  2. General ISO Issues • Successfully passed Renewal/Surveillance Audit # 19 in July 2013 to ISO9001-2008 with no CAN’s issued. • Weekly PRB meetings continue to serve a vital role in the quality system by providing for ongoing management review, intra-department communications and monthly data review for continuous improvement efforts. • Ongoing implementation of the new ERP system and revising of hundreds of ISO procedures is ongoing • Several new Quality related initiatives were started as part of the new QA organization (monthly all employee quality meetings, increased usage of CAR process, improvements to field quality data collection and reporting, new customer complaint tracking and follow-up process, better tracking of CAR status and closure) • MAJOR organization changes have occurred

  3. General ISO Issues Major Changes since Last Audit • QC Manager unexpectedly resigned (Interim ISO Rep: Kelly T.) • Position to be filled ASAP (interviewing candidates) • Many documents “lost” in the transition • New President and CEO • New VP of Sales • New Human Resources Manager • New Service Department Reorganization & Service Offering • New Series-4 Product Release • New major contract with Brinks • Total separation and relocation of Revolution business unit • New ERP implementation now fully functional

  4. General ISO Issues Challenges to the Organization • Recover from unexpected departure of QA Manager and re-create or re-establish QC processes that he had initiated • Documentation of modified processes with the new ERP will continue to require significant time and effort to revise hundreds of docs. (significant progress being made) • Continued business growth will require additional personnel in Production, Materials, QC and Service. Additional middle Management level personnel will also be needed in 2014. • Additional ERP system implementations and improvements have started and will continue. This will require more Quality System documentation changes. • New service offering will result in some Service Dept. outsourcing
