  3. St. Patrick’s Day Parade March 2017 In Conjunction with the Restaurant and Bar Associations Pub Crawl

  4. April - October Trolley Rides Shopping Late 5:00 to 8:00 Family Friendly Fun Artisan Market

  5. The Garrison Gatsby Ticket holders were transported in time to the Roaring 20’s with most guests showing up in period attire.  A gourmet meal was served by several local restaurants, with beer and spirits donated from Smithworks Vodka, Post Family Vineyards, Belle Point and Bricktown Brewery.  Musical entertainment with Don Bailey and the Tabitha Graves Quartet and the Community School of the Arts.  A VIP Speak Easy Lounge was available to VIP ticket holders at the top of the First National Bank. 

  6. Seasonal Activities Oktoberfest An entire day of activities that brought families downtown, including kids carnival, farmers’ market, contests, movie in the park, trolley rides, pub crawl and more! Thank you to Parks and Recreation and Carnival Party Rentals for Sponsoring.

  7. Christmas Tree Lighting & Santa House PARTICIPATE Our organization worked together with the Parks Department to set up a Christmas Village at Pendergraft Park. The Parks Department provided several light displays and helped assemble the tree. The FSDBA was able to purchase the following items: 25’ lighted and decorated Christmas tree. Wood Santa House 4000 LED Lights Professional Santa on Saturdays in December The Community School of the Arts provided carolers in period dress. Our Goal is to grow this event in the coming years to a Winter Wonderland.

  8. FSDBA giving backThe association was provided donations to STEPS, Riverview Hope Campus and Community School of the Arts. During First Tuesday, thousands of visitors came to participate in the event.  Many restaurant's had waits on a Tuesday night and it was wonderful to see all the activity downtown.  The Trolley/Museum had record visitors on Oktoberfest, which also generated a record Saturday for Miss Laura's.

What a great inaugural year we had! • Membership as of December 31, 2017 – 80 members strong. • InKind Donations of over $22,000 • New Events to downtown: St. Paddy’s Scavenger Hunt and Parade, Garrison Gatsby, First Tuesday, Oktoberfest and the Christmas Village. • Our Ending Bank Balance was $2,684 • See the Income and Expenses on the Next Pages By the Numbers

  12. 2018 Goals • Retain and Increase Membership • Increase Association Reserves by 5% • Market and Promote Downtown Fort Smith to increase traffic and business through Advertising • Work with Parks and Rec to replace banners along Garrison • Work with Community partners to continue propelling Downtown and bringing new events • First Tuesday’s will run from April through October. • Oktoberfest is scheduled for the 20th of October • Winter Wonderland • More events to come
