PhD. study in Slovakia • Slovak Higher Education Reform: • Higher Education Act 131/2002, • Strategy of the Further Development of Higher Education for 21st century, • External items: • Bologna Declaration and Bologna Follow up process, • (the first mayor influence to the changes in PhD. study) • negotiation process to European Union • Internal items: • internal reform process in Slovakia • (the second mayor influence to the changes in PhD. study)

PhD. study in Slovakia • Reform changes in PhD. study: • PhD. study is a standard third level of education, • Entrance exams can be provided by HE Institutions only, • External institutions can do PhD. study in cooperation with HE Institutions only, • Scholarship is equal to incomes of HE teachers, • Right to establish the university commission for study branch • according to internal university regulation.

PhD. study in Slovakia • Reform economic measures: • Funds to PhD. study on the base of efficiency (mayor items): • - number of graduates in full time study, • - personal capacity of HE institutions – number of Prof. and Assoc. Prof. • Periodical stock-taking of PhD. study places two times per year • (Funds on unsuccessful student are going to fund for new entrance students) • Financial bonus for HE Institution of students finish their study in time • Funds to university service and research on the base of number of PhD. students • with disertation exam.
