  7. What is an Inference? • Inferring = mental judgement based on observations • Not directly observed • Requires thought Example: You wake up in the morning and you see dark clouds. The air is cool but humid. You see puddles on the ground. You conclude that it has rained over night. Identify observations and inferences in this statement.
