Barrhaven Public School Parent Council

On January 13, 2010, the Barrhaven Public School Parent Council addressed significant concerns regarding the OSTA recommendation of "Option #4." This option poses safety risks for students while disproportionately benefiting Catholic high schools in Barrhaven, with an inequitable distribution of bus routes. Public school students would face longer average bus times and decreased safety. Predicted cost savings of $412,000 raise questions about their actual value, particularly in light of increased hazards. The community must evaluate whether these savings are worth compromising student safety and equity in service.
