Parkhead Primary believes that real education for a child comes about as a result of the partnership between home and school and we now extend to you the opportunity to play a full part in the life of our school and the education of your child.
The Parent Council exists to promote communication between home and school and is an excellent forum for parents to express their hopes and concerns for Parkhead Primary School.
What is a Parent Council? The role of the Parent Council is to: •support the school in its work with pupils •represent the views of all parents •encourage links between the school, parents, pupils, pre-school groups and the wider community •report back to all the parents in the school (called the Parent Forum) •play a role in the appointment of headteachers and depute headteachers •support the school and pupils during school inspections.
