  1. HSE LEARNING • INCIDENT: • The first case reported was at 0430hrs on 7th January at PAC Clinic suffering from loose motion and fever. More cases were received until the January 10th at 1130hrs. Total number of reported cases were 451. • POST INCIDENT: • Patients were treated and some were referred to MoH Hospitals for further consultation and treatment . None of the cases were reported critical • CAUSES: • Salmonella; The source of the outbreak is untraceable • LEARNINGS: • Carryout stool culture analysis every 4 months for all food handlers. • Promote hand hygiene practices • Appoint an onsite food hygiene officer • Strengthen access control to the food premises by adding CCTV. Key Learning: During an outbreak of Food Borne Illness food samples for the four days menu period shall be submitted to the nearest Government Laboratory for Microbiological Analysis.
