  2. Daily Schedule Arrival Table Time Circle Time/Bathroom Small Groups (Skills-based) Story Time Snack Centers Gross Motor Time (Playground or Gym) Dismissal

  3. Curriculum • Creative Curriculum: Focuses on all areas of a child’s development • - Social Emotional • - Literacy/Language • - Math • - Science • - Art • - Social Studies • Interest areas promote learning and development

  4. Assessment/Conferences • We will formally assess students three times throughout the year (Fall/Winter/Spring) • A sample of the Parent Recording Form is attached • Parent-Teacher Conferences are in November and February(See school calendar for specific dates)

  5. Behavior Management • School Rules: • 1.  Be safe • 2.  Be a friend • 3.  Be a helper • - Verbal praise and encouragement • Green stamp at the end of the day for positive behavior • Positive behavior bracelets and notes sent home • - Other whole class rewards throughout the school year (Work for Team Tickets)

  6. Borrowing from the Library • Library day is Friday • Return books in order to check out a new one • Librarian gives fines for damaged book • Please keep them in a safe place!!!

  7. Scholastic Book Order • Once a month • 2 ways to order: • Return order form & check in your child’s folder (no cash) • 2. Order online • Completely optional

  8. Classroom Volunteers • Once a month • Starting in October • Sign up by writing your name on the monthly calendar found in child’s folder • If you don’t hear from me, this date works for us! • I will send home a note if you’ve chosen a day that does not work.

  9. Birthday Celebrations • District policy: • NO treats of any kind! • You can send: • Pencils • Stickers • Small toys • Anything else not edible

  10. Other Reminders • Please bring in a change of clothes to be kept at school • Have children wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty with gym shoes • Check folder everyday! • No toys or food in backpack
