  2. eDofE Update • Phase 1 launched in September 2009 • Phase 2 upgrade launched in May 2011 • Phase 3 DofE Managers launched in April 2012 Current statistics (June 2012): • 12,000 site visits a day • Over 2000 at any one time • 410,000 participant accounts created • 32,000 Adult accounts created • 58,000 Awards approved so far

  4. eDofE Manager Upgrade Benefits • Finally, everyone is on the same platform • Greater scope of permissions controlled by line managers • Compulsory Assessor reports in each section • Overhaul and simplification of Award approvals • Provides long awaited local moving of people • Gives ASL a role in eDofE (no more spread sheets) • Updates look and feel and functionality across a number of keys areas i.e. Participation Place reporting, reconciliation, assignment

Managing LO Staff Roles • Primary role • Purchase Participation Places • Assign/recall Participation Places • Create participants • Add B/S/G levels • Create adults • Transfer accounts • Create new centres • Limit number of centres • Approve Awards B/S/G • Remove Primary, eDofE Manager, Assistant eDofE Manager, Volunteer, Expedition Assessor positions • Replace with one DofEManager and ‘Administrator’ Role with permissions according to business needs: • View participant personal info • Download CSV info • Upload resources • Adjust participant dates • Award verification B/S/G • One person can be selected to run SAS reports

Managing Participation Places • Bank statement type reporting – easier reconciliation • Filters on lists so can viewed by LO, centreor group • Assign/recall 3 levels at once • Assign to centre or group level • Permissions to buy/assign Participation Places • Permissions to create participants/add level • 14 day ‘cooling off’ for errors/duplicates • Opening balance only on ‘go live’ • Pre-history available on excel

Compulsory Assessors Reports • Each participant must identify the Assessor’s report for each section (one only) • Assessors details captured as part of the programme Plan • Any piece of evidence (text/picture etc.) can be flagged/un-flagged as Assessor’s report • Adding in Accredited expedition Assessors is a future development phase

Approving Awards • Only a DofE Award Verifier can do this • summary screen to show programme plan and Assessor report for each section • Other evidence can be viewed • Auto messages/emails throughout • External success emails to participant • Query process reopens sections • Basic reporting and download lists for presentations and certificate printing • Link to eGAP so no need for GA6

  13. eGAP & Gold Notification Process New eGAP database linked to eDofE Includes Scotland and Northern Ireland GAPs Gold participants to complete info (guests etc.) when sending Award for approval Participant info will be pulled from or entered via eDofE GA7 Form includes eDofE ID Number All completed Golds will go into reports Updates of invites for LOs/Centres

Transferring People • Replaces ‘move’ Change Requests • Both participant & adult accounts • Licensed Organisation level functionality • Requires ID number and new centre/group • Pull not push • Participants – moves uncompleted levels • Adults – confirm permissions & safeguarding • Splits statistics as DEAMS • Move reports & history

  16. Managing Adults • Filtered staff lists which include last sign-in details, alerts outstanding etc. • List of new staff created in the last 4 weeks • Lists can be downloadable to csv • Alerts to the DofE Manager/Primary when a new staff member is created • Statistics/KPIs/Dashboards Reports
