  1. The Plant Testers Madison, Robel, Andrew, and Lezean

  2. Variable Being Tested Our group decided to test the variable of the different kinds of liquids.

  3. Control and Experimental Groups Our control plant will use normal water. Our experimental plants will be using root beer and pineapple juice.

  4. Our Hypothesis If we pour in root beer and pineapple juice in the plant, then the plant will start to turn brown , and start to shrivel and die.

  5. Observations 2-15-12 First Day: On the first day, the pineapple plant was 7 ½ cm. tall. Also, the root beer plant was 4 cm. tall. Also, the water plant was 4 cm. tall too. 2-24-12 Last Day: On the last day, the pineapple plant was 5 cm. tall. The root beer was 2 ½ cm. tall. Our water plant was 15 cm .tall. Also, the pineapple plant was sticky and it had mold on it.

  8. Conclusion Statement From this experiment, we learned that when you put pineapple juice in a pot with a plant pineapple juice does not make the plant grow very well. Also, when you put pineapple juice in the pot with the plant the plant starts to mold and stink. Also, when you put water in the pot with the plant the plant will grow. Another way is when you put root beer in the pot, the plant will grow, but also stink.

  9. Hypothesis Statement Our hypothesis was right because we knew that the pineapple juice will make the plant die and stink.Also,the plant will start to mold and the grass will start to shrivel and die.

  10. Future Experiments I would not want to use pineapple juice ,instead use peanut butter as soil.
