Comprehensive policy change as a critical element of NAIP design

This analysis aims to validate findings and bring together community members, traditional leaders, stakeholders, and policymakers to assess the new policy using the GINA framework. It explores changes in nutrition focus, integrated FSS, agriculture, and insights for food security and nutrition between 1993-2018, specifically focusing on Nigeria's Agriculture Sector Food Security Strategy. The analysis highlights variability in policy and strategy sequencing, the presence of high-level coordination structures for nutrition but not for other domains, and variations in understanding of food security. Finally, it concludes that NAIP II objectives align with the Malabo Declaration and recommends comprehensive policy change as a critical element of NAIP design.
