  2. NOBEL PRIZE The Nobel Prize was first presented in 1901 by the King of Sweden and created by Alfred Nobel, who was born in Sweden. He also created dynamite. He gave the name and money for the prize in his will and died on December 10, 1896. The Nobel Prize has many categories, such as: Literature, Peace, Physics, Chemistry, Medicine, and Economics. Some past winners are: Wilhelm Rontgen, Henry Dunant, Fredrick Harry, Ernest Hemingway, etc. Winner Criteria: Stands the test of time and demonstrates importance.

  3. Shirin Ebadi Peace Prize Winner Shirin Ebadi was born on June 21, 1947 in Hamadan, Iran. She won for her efforts for democracy and human rights, along with rights for women and children.
