The Monsoons • There are two seasons or monsoons in Asia. • The wet monsoon lasts from May to October in the Northern Hemisphere (and December to April in the Southern Hemisphere). • During the wet monsoon it rains almost every day with very heavy downpours lasting for an hour or two. • The air is very humid and sticky during these downpours.
