  2. Where did football originate? • It is said that the Chinese people have created football. • Although the main game and the rules were created by England in 1860’s.

  3. Football as a national sport • About 60 countries have football as their national sport. It is a national sport in: Central America Western Europe (Italy, Spain, Germany) South east Asia (China) Middle East (Qatar) Very few countries from Africa (Egypt)

  4. Football is a popular sport because… • 1) Football is very popular because it is very fun, it doesn’t require a lot of equipment if you are not a professional player. The lesser equipment the less money you have to pay. If your not a professional player all you have to buy is a football. You can make your own goals and you can use your sport shoes. If you are a professional player you would usually wear Cleats which are special type of football shoes which have studs at the bottom and you would need shin guards for safety.

  5. Reason Number 2 • 2) The second reason is that it is very good for a team sport. It is said that if you do not pass, your team will not get anywhere. In order to win the game or score a goal you have to have good teamwork and you have to be able to pass to your team mates. Many people do keep the ball to themselves but that’s only if they are extremely one hundred percent confident if they can get it past the people.

  6. The final reason • 3) The third reason is that it is really fun to watch, and it is very interesting so you would really get bored while watching a football match. It is interesting because as you watch the players approach to score, it is tempting so that builds up the excitement. The best thing to watch in football would be watching the players score a goal. That is the best part to watch in a football match.

  7. Why are these three reasons important • It is important because working in a team is always good, it will help you in many other things such as educational work. If a sport is boring usually people wouldn’t play it that much. It wouldn’t be much of a popular sport. But because football is a very good sport it has become the most popular sport in the whole world.

  8. Different Types of Football • All around the world, there are many different types of football played… • Indoor Soccer: A six-a-side indoor game played in north America. • Paralympics Football: Modified football for handicapped/disabled players. • Beach Soccer: Football that’s played on sand, it is also called Sand Soccer. • Rush Goalie: Is a type of football where the the goalie is more important than normal. • KeepieUppie: Is juggling with a ball using feet, knees, chest, shoulder and head. • Footbag: This is a type of football where instead of a ball we use a beanbag or a sandbag.
