Vertices. A vertex point is a co-ordinate point (or a series) in a 3d space. These points can be used to create a shape Vertex points can be used as way of finding a point in a 3D space. Edges. Edges are the lines that connect up between each vertices. An edge. An edge. Polygons.

  7. Polygons are 2d shapes that connect to each other to form a 3D object. • They are made of at least 3 vertex and joined on to each other at edge on edge

  8. Faces

  9. If the polygon has three vertices it is called a face. • This is what 3D programs call these shapes • If a polygon is quadrangular the 3D program will split it into as many faces as it can

  10. An example of a quad being split into faces. The more faces the larger the file and complexity

  12. A mesh is basically a shape made up of many polygons
