Hobos • Mostly boys and young men • Searching for work or better life • Wandered the country • Walking • Hitchhiking • “Riding the Rails”
The Dust Bowl • Over-farming • Drought • Windstorms • Crop production decreased • Banks foreclosed on farms • Farmers moved to California • Okies CAUSES CONSEQUENCES
