  5. Which domain-strong verbs and adjectives, variety of sentence types and lengths, voice (personality)? • style

  6. Which domain-order, beginning, middle end, transition words? • organization

  7. Which domain- spelling, capitalization, punctuation, correct homophones? • conventions

  8. In an introduction never… • say, “I will be writing about, hi, my name is.”

  9. In your conclusion never… • say “I hope you liked, the end, that’s my essay about…” • introduce new information.

  10. Never start sentences with… • F.A.N.B.O.Y.S.-for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so.

  11. Besides spelling, what can you do to check conventions? • Check to make sure you have the correct homophone. • Make sure each sentence has a capital letter. • Make sure each sentence has an end mark. • Make sure proper nouns/adjectives are capitalized. • Make sure you’ve checked comma usage.
