  2. 2006 Regional Transmission Planning Summit • Hosted by all Transmission Providers inside the Southern Subregion footprint • AEC, Dalton, GTC, SMEPA, MEAG, and Southern Transmission • Provide Transparency for the Transmission Planning Process • Present 10-year Transmission Expansion Plan for the Southern Subregion • Create a Regional Planning Stakeholders Group (RPSG) composed of Transmission Customers • Identifies up to 5 sensitivities to submit into the Yearly Planning Process • Tom Madden will act as the facilitator

  3. 2006 Regional Transmission Planning Summit • November 15th, 2006 at the Hilton Atlanta Airport • Invitations mailed early August • RSVPs due September 1st, 2006 (still time to register) • Summit Agenda finalized late September • Confirmation and additional information to be sent to all registrants mid-October

Regional Planning Stakeholders Group (RPSG) • Preliminary Plan • Allow stakeholders to provide input into the yearly planning process • Up to 5 additional scenarios/sensitivities will be studied on yearly basis • RPSG 1st year governance based on customer/industry sectors • 2 members per sector • Responsible for determining/modifying their governance for year 2 and beyond • RPSG will meet twice a year • 1st QTR to vote on top 5 scenarios/sensitivities • 3rd QTR to comment on preliminary study results
