Features and Benefits of RFQ2.0 • Enter and edit multiple items at one time (instead of one by one) • Enter data 4 different ways: • Manually in RFQ 2.0 • Copying from Price and Availability to RFQ 2.0 • Pasting in multiple Items • Submitting spreadsheet with up to 50 parts (previously this was 25 parts) • Clear screen layouts indicating fields that are required or optional for each request type • Ability to submit up to 5 attachments with your request • Quote document in PDF format and ability to add other recipients of the PDF

Features and Benefits of RFQ2.0 • View awarded price breaks and future price breaks in the Quote Inquiry page as well as on the PDF document (price breaks were not displayed in GSPR) • Ability to view the PDF document from the RFQ 2.0 Quote inquiry screen (in addition to receiving the e-mail with the attached document) • More data available on the Excel download files than was available in GSPR • Help text on many fields to help answer your questions as well as training materials available from a link on the RFQ 2.0 site • New paging/sorting/filtering capabilities on the list of quotes from the Quote inquiry • Ability to view all quotes submitted to TE which include: standard quotes, special price requests, requests submitted via RFQ 2.0 and those entered by Customer Care. • A Suspend and Resume feature or Cancel the request

  5. Getting Started: RFQ 2.0 • RFQ 2.0 is available at www.te.com under My Account.

  6. RFQ2.0 Entry Screen Enter your account number This is the new screen for both Quote Inquiry and to Request A Quote Information is TE Confidential & Proprietary Do Not Reproduce or Distribute

  7. Quote Inquiry • The screen allows you • to search on various • requirements: • Specifics • Request type • Status • A specific date • You still have the • availability to export • your requests • to excel Information is TE Confidential & Proprietary Do Not Reproduce or Distribute

  8. Quote Inquiry Many of the screens will have a box with a ? These are pop-up boxes to help explain information you will see when you click on these areas. Information is TE Confidential & Proprietary Do Not Reproduce or Distribute

  9. Quote Inquiry There is also a Advanced Search. Here you can enter a Branch Code (if this applies), the dates you are searching for or the POS customer. Again ? will provide information and help Information is TE Confidential & Proprietary Do Not Reproduce or Distribute

  10. Request A Quote To Request a Quote, click on the “Request A Quote” tab. Here you will be able to request either a standard quotation or a special price request. Each type of request will provide a ? with a definition of that request. Press Continue … Information is TE Confidential & Proprietary Do Not Reproduce or Distribute

  11. Ex: Request a Meet Competitive Price Request If you are entering a Meet Competitive price request, select the MCP. The ? Help will tell you what type of price this is requesting.   12. Request Tab This screen provides 6 tabs or a Wizard. The first tab will auto-fill your name, phone and fax information. You can change the manner in which you are contacted under the “Contact By:” If your phone number has changed, you may update this information in your profile. If the ship-to address is not correct, select the “Change Ship-to Address”. A screen appears showing the possible Ship-to Addresses available for your Company.   13. Customer Information Tab The system now takes you to the second tab where you will enter your POS and End Customer information BOTH FIELDS MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE YOU CONTINUE! Information is TE Confidential & Proprietary Do Not Reproduce or Distribute

  14. Customer Information Tab Here you enter your POS Customer. If you do not have the address, click on the Search button to show all available addresses for that account. Information is TE Confidential & Proprietary Do Not Reproduce or Distribute

  15. Customer Information Tab - Account Information Select the correct location for the account. Press “Select” This information will now be transferred to the POS Customer information. Information is TE Confidential & Proprietary Do Not Reproduce or Distribute

  16. Customer Information Tab The location you selected will now be shown under your POS Customer information. . Information is TE Confidential & Proprietary Do Not Reproduce or Distribute

  17. Customer Information Tab – Add a POS Customer If you cannot locate the POS customer in the Search Screen you can click on “Can’t Find a POS or END Customer”. This box will appear. You will fill in those areas required by the “*” and click “Add”. Ensure City, State and Zip are correct. The information will be filled in under the POS Customer area.   18. Customer Information Tab The END Customer box is similar to the POS Customer information. Add your End Customer and click search if you need location information. Information is TE Confidential & Proprietary Do Not Reproduce or Distribute

  19. Customer Information Tab – Account Information Available information for the customer will appear. Select the correct information and hit Select. The data will then appear in the Customer information field. Information is TE Confidential & Proprietary Do Not Reproduce or Distribute

  20. Customer Information Tab Now you have both the POS and End Customer information completed. The End Customer block and POS Customer block must both be completed in order to continue to the next tab. If your POS and End Customer are the same, you can use the Check Box. This will put the same POS information into the End Customer information area. WARNING: Do not show POS/End Customer the same if this is not correct data and this will have a negative impact.   21. Quote Information Tab The next tab is the Quote Information tab. Currency is default from the defaulted currency maintained in our customer master. Click on the ? For information or explanations Information is TE Confidential & Proprietary Do Not Reproduce or Distribute

  22. Quote Information Tab Information on this screen is not mandatory but will help you track your information by either a reference number, a project name or project description. Comments can be added that you wish to have on your quotation. As well as additional recipients of the final quotation. Click Continue….   23. RFQ 2.0 Quote Entry: QTE Type • Add Parts screen for QTE is more streamlined and some fields removed for a better layout • If a customer has only access to the QTE type, then the Request Type Selection screen will be skipped • Based on the security profiles, the following screen may appear:

  24. RFQ 2.0 Quote Entry: QTE Type No “Customer Info” tab for QTE type POS Customer is no longer a required field. All pertinent information that should display on the output, or that should be reviewed by TE Customer Care is entered here.

  25. RFQ 2.0 Quote Entry: NDR/CCR Type NDR/CCR are limited to the authorized distributors only Requesters must obtain TE approval code (format likes N00001234-RY) from DMM prior to submit the RFQ

  26. Add Parts Tab On this screen you will be able to add the parts you wish to have quoted. Parts can be added in bulk, spreadsheet or on a part by part basis. A new feature is the “Paste In a Part Number List”. Here You can add up to 50 parts Parts can be validated to ensure they are accurate and active TE part numbers Takes you to x-ref & suspends your request until you return Information is TE Confidential & Proprietary Do Not Reproduce or Distribute

  27. Add Parts Tab You can also add one part number at a time. Areas in RED must be completed or you cannot continue. Information is TE Confidential & Proprietary Do Not Reproduce or Distribute

  28. Add Parts Tab The system will identify for you if you have entered data with errors. A RED ! will appear in the block with the error and the system will not let you continue until the error is fixed. In this example no competitive data was entered.   29. Add Parts Tab Once you have corrected your errors you can validate the part. All ! will be removed and you can now continue. OR If you wish to add more parts click the “Add More Parts” button and continue the same process. Information is TE Confidential & Proprietary Do Not Reproduce or Distribute

  30. Add Parts Tab The system will also alert you if you have an active quote under this account in the system already. After reviewing all the data on this tab, the next tab asks if you have any Attachments. If you have no attachments, you may use the “Skip Attachments” button to take you to the Review Tab Information is TE Confidential & Proprietary Do Not Reproduce or Distribute

  31. Attachments Tab This is the Attachments Tab If you had any attachments you would like to add to your request, you may add them at this time. Various file formats are available for uploading. RFQ 2.0 Cancel Quote and Save For Later • A new enhancement to RFQ is the ability to Cancel your quote, or Save for later. • During any point of quote entry users have the ability to cancel their quote request, or save the quote request to resume at a later time. • These tools are located above the progress wizard. Simply click the hyperlink, or tool box and your quote will be cancelled or your progress will be saved.

Review and Submit Tab You can review your Customer POS and End Customer information as well as the part requested If there are corrections to be made you may edit any section using the Edit Button Once you have reviewed all data click Submit Request Information is TE Confidential & Proprietary Do Not Reproduce or Distribute

  36. Confirmation You will receive a notification that provides you a quote number. Click OK The quote number can now be tracked on the Quote Inquiry screen. Information is TE Confidential & Proprietary Do Not Reproduce or Distribute

  38. Quote Inquiry On the Home Page under Quote Inquiry, you can enter the Quote number and see that the Quote is now “In-Process”. You can also see the Part/s in process By clicking on the + sign… Information is TE Confidential & Proprietary Do Not Reproduce or Distribute

  39. Quote Inquiry By Clicking on the +/- you can expand or collapse the part detail information. +/- Hyperlink to PN detail Sort by Status Information is TE Confidential & Proprietary Do Not Reproduce or Distribute

  40. Quote Inquiry You also have the ability once a request is completed, to View a PDF View a Quote OR Copy the request Information is TE Confidential & Proprietary Do Not Reproduce or Distribute

  42. Quote - View You can view the quote information once it is ‘Complete’.
