The City of Springs(72 famous springs) • Capital of Shandong Province • Over 4,000 years’ history • Over 6.8 million people • To the south of the Yellow River (20 minutes by car) • The mother river & cradle of ancient Chinese civilization • To the north of Mount Tai (20m by train, 1 hour by car) • The First of the Five Most Famous Mountains in China • World Culture Heritage • World Nature Heritage • frequently visited as a place of attraction

Shandong is one of the better-developed areas in Eastern China. • Shandong people have good reputation around China for their frankness, hospitality, and loyalty to others. • Shandong produces the best fruits in China including apples, pears, dates, peaches, etc. • Shandong has the longest coastal line in China and produce good sea food.

  7. Shandong has famous Shandong Cuisine(鲁菜), one of the Eight Cuisines of China, following the tradition of Confucius Mansion. • with a wide variety of materials • pure, strong and mellow taste • excellent seafood dishes and delicious soup

Shandong University • Shandong University a key comprehensive university under the direct jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education, • with a long history, • a variety of disciplines, • strong academic strength, and • distinctive characteristics, • a member university of Project 211(100 in total) and Project 985(39 in total), two national key construction projects to support the development of top universities.

Shandong University is one of the initiative universities of modern Chinese higher education. • Its medical school, established in 1864, signified the beginning of modern Chinese higher education. • Its main body, Shandong Imperial College established in 1901, only after the Imperial University of Peking, the former Peking U.
