  3. The Determined Principles ofmobilty ; • *diversify the means of transport. • *Improve the public transport system. • *Reduce motor vehicle traffic in the city center.

  4. For a Sustainable Transport System ; • Priority sequence of transport types; • 1- Pedestrians • 2- Bicycle Users • 3- PublicTransportationVehicles • 4- Private Vehicles • Energy is perceived as the “ Act of War” • Be sensitive to the environmentand balanced use of resources

Bytheway to put into modern vehicles with "Environment Friendly" motor and exhaust system for the buses, is one of the basic objectives of the Eskişehir Greater Municipality. • At the end of lastcentury, duetofast increase on the number of private cars and other vehicles, some growing problems started to occur in public transportation system. Tosolvetheeseproblems the rail system was plannedandestablished.

  8. Later, based upon Master Transportation Plan, Tramway System and Public Buses integration project was carried out.

  9. Estram decreased the city center vehicle traffic and intensity of toxic gases in air, also has been diversified growth zones of city.

  10. Dependinguponthe plan; bus, minibus or taxi-minibus routes pass through or end on the tram transfer points. Vehicle intensity in the centrum was reduced; the main streets on where people are shopping heavily were allocated for pedestrians.

  11. ESKİŞEHİR Eskişehir has been shown as Pedestrian-friendly city by ELTIS in 2009 (European Local Transport Information Service ).

  12. Also duringthe summer time, 10 phaeton are beingused for transport service in thecity center on specific routes.

  13. In the middle ofJuly 2009, boatshave been put into service for waterway.

  15. IMPLEMENTATION AREAS • Near the center and open zones, • Availability of infrastructure, • Density of population, workmanship and students, • Near to the tram and/or bus stops. 288 Bike and 24 stops are planned.

  16. Passengers /daycarried by ESTRAM : 90 000 Private public buses : 90 000 Minibus : 60 000 Taxi-minibus 12500 Electronic Smart Ticketing System, Passengers can make transfers between trams and buses.

  17. Because of using energy more efficient by reducing noise and air pollution, GreatercityMunicipality is happy to give safe and comfortable public transport service to residents of ESKİŞEHİR • CONCLUSION
