3. Goal • A digital clock is a type of clock that displays the time digitally and is widely used in daily life. • In the experiment, we originally planed to do some hardware work to design and produce a digital clock, but due to the limit of the equipments, also the suggestions from Prof. Artuso, we decided to simulate the digital clock in the LabView. • The Goal of our project is to design a digitalclock on labview that can be used in two ways: • Date & Time Alarm • Data Error Alarm Bin & Qi

6. Seven-segment Display • A seven-segment display is a form of electronic display device for displaying decimal numerals that is an alternative to the more complex dot-matrix displays. • Seven-segment displays are widely used in digital clocks, electronic meters, and other electronic devices for displaying numerical information. 10. Setting time and date Getting time and date Time & Date Alarm • An alarm clock is a clock that is designed to make a loud sound at a specific time. • The primary use of these clocks is to awaken people from their sleep in order to start their days in the mornings, but can also be used for short naps; they are sometimes used for other reminders as well. • To stop the sound, a button or handle on the clock needs to be pressed, and some stop automatically after a few minutes if left unattended. 11. Checking Error Sound Player Data Error Alarm This simulates the experiment, such as when the temperature of the chip or detector is higher than the critical point, the alarm will ring and the time will be recorded. Bin & Qi
