Answer all questions fully. • Claim:what claim or argument does the sticker seem to make? • Evidence/technique: What evidence do you have (look at design, color, symbolism, word choice, play on words, etc.)? • Speaker Identity: Describe the type of person who might display such a sign OR what type of person do they want you to think they are? • Reasoning: Based on the evidence, what is the overall message the person/sticker is trying to promote?
Example: Claim:exist together in peace Evidence/technique:Symbols of Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, and Christianity. Peace symbol. Blue background means peace/clarity. All make up the word coexist which means to live side by side without strife. Speaker Identity: Likely liberal, open minded, educated (word and symbol meaning). Reasoning:Because all 4 symbols are placed within the word and centered on the peace sign, it means: All people of the four major faiths, Judaism, Islam, Christianity, and Buddhism should learn to live in peace and harmony.
