To get to the data logger you have to : 1. Walk to the top of the very steep hill from the farm for about 1.3 km 2. Walk along the track another 0.7 km
This is the loch with the water coming out of it. The data logger uses sensors to automatically monitor the water in the stream so that it does not need someone to go there to to take the readingsThe data logger can take lots of readings over a very long period of time and never forgets to take a reading. The readings are more accurate than readings taken by humans . Advantages and Disadvantages Data logging equipment like this is very expensive If the sensors or the data logger stops working properly it could send back incorrect data or no data at all.
The sensors are placed in and around the waterThe sensors record data about the water and send the data to the data logger on the stream’s bank. The measurements include the oxygen level, rate of flow, depth and chemical content of the water Position of sensors Data logger
1. The data is sent to the data logger which has a solar panel to provide the power to keep it running. 2. The data is then set via a satellite to the computers of the organisation which is monitoring the water. 3. The collected data is then analysed to give information about how pure the water is.
