The student is expected to: (A) generalize the properties of orientation and congruence of rotations, reflections, translations, and dilations of two-dimensional shapes on a coordinate plane;

  6. Translation Translation is a transformation that "slides" an object in a fixed distance and in a given direction. The original object and its translation have the same shape and size, and they face in the same direction.
